Everything You Need To Know About Baby2Body’s Postpartum Program
Hey mamas, we realized that it’s been a little while since we updated you all on our postpartum program in the Baby2Body app and we want to make sure you know exactly what’s there so you can make the most of it!
If you’ve been with us during TTC and pregnancy, then you might be wondering what you’ll get from the app when you move into postpartum, or maybe you’re new here (welcome!) and looking for the perfect health and wellbeing app that can take you seamlessly from pregnancy to motherhood. Well, look no further.
With the Baby2Body postpartum program, you’ll get fitness, wellness, and nutritional coaching all in one place. Our app will take you from 1 day postpartum up until 3 years postpartum. We have a team of global experts (meet them all below!) who’ll work with you during your postpartum recovery and everything we do is backed by science, so you know it’s information you can trust.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll get with a premium Baby2Body membership as you move into postpartum…
Baby2Body’s postpartum fitness program
After you have a baby, we know the last thing you are probably thinking about is exercise and movement, and that’s ok, you’ve been through a lot during pregnancy! Ultimately though, our bodies are made to move, and regular physical activity is not only a pillar of healthy living, it’s also so important in a recovery process. Remember, postpartum is a recovery process. Your body is not supposed to stay in a postpartum state forever, but it will also take time to build back muscle tone and stamina following a pregnancy.
With Baby2Body’s postpartum program, you’ll get personalized weekly fitness plans which are safe and appropriate for postpartum recovery and will help you gradually move your body again and regain some strength.
The first 6 weeks:
During the first 6 weeks of postpartum, you’ll be recovering from childbirth and it’s best not to push your body, so your weekly plans will feature light movement and stretching routines that are tailored for this post-childbirth stage.
6 weeks onwards:
You’ll normally get exercise clearance from your doctor at the 6 week check-up. After that, your workout plans will kick it up a notch, but don’t worry, we have different levels of intensity for you to use from and you can always skip exercises you’re not comfortable with yet. It’s always important to listen to how your body feels and do what makes you feel comfortable.
Alongside your weekly plan, you’ll also be able to browse different workouts including, strength, yoga, dance, and cardio.

Baby2Body’s postpartum wellness program
The 4th trimester is a time when your own wellbeing is put under added stress due to adjusting to life with a newborn, physically recovering from the toll labor takes on your body, going through sleepless nights, experiencing significant hormone fluctuations, and settling into a new normal. Taking time for wellness and self-care at this time isn't about indulging or pampering, it's about meeting your immediate needs and nourishing yourself with simple acts of self-love and acceptance (which is what self-care is about at any time).
Here’s what you can expect to see in Baby2Body’s postpartum wellness program, all found in the in-app Zen Den:
1. Weekly check-ins
Each week, you’ll get a check-in from Baby2Body CEO and founder Melinda Nicci, who’ll be sharing what you can expect from the week in terms of your recovery, your emotions, and your baby’s development as well. Meet Mel…

Each week you'll get a video lesson on a new topic, accompanied by a collection of "micro-zen" exercises: quick, audio-guided activities to help you practice the self-care habits discussed that week. 4. Meditations and breathing exercises
We know that the practice of 'meditation' and breathing exercises can come off as slightly intimidating and it can feel like another thing we just don't really have time for. And then you ask yourself: is it really going to benefit me anyway? The short answer is yes it really will benefit you and it's a lot easier to get into than you think, especially if you have the right person guiding you. Meet Amrita Das…
Amrita Das
Science of wellbeing & neuroscience from UC Berkeley
If anyone can convince you to try breathwork, it’s Amrita. Years of burning the candle at both ends led her to turn to breathwork as a way of finding happiness and balance, and she’s here to share her knowledge with you!
“Our brains are concerned primarily with keeping us safe by preparing us for danger. By controlling our breath we are signaling our brains that we are safe, and this reduces our fear, anxiety, and stress. We don’t always have the solutions to our perceived problems but we can try to manage our reactions to them. Coming back to our breath is a way for us to take small moments of control, during the ups and downs of daily life.”
~ Amrita Das
Amrita’s latest breathwork audios available in Baby2Body’s postpartum program include:
Guided Gratitude Breathing
One of the best ways to start your day with joy is to start your day with gratitude. It signals your brain to be happy and changes your energy.

Stand In Your Power
This standing meditation invites you to step out of your day and take a moment to rest in your center and in your natural power.
